After two years in Abuja, the Home Video Integrity Award (HomeVida) is
set to hold in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday 9th December 2012 at the
Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island.
Anchoring the show will be star actor & co-host of MTN Project Fame West Africa Season II, Joseph Benjamin and On-air personality & DJ at Beat FM Lagos, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi.
The Home Video Integrity Award (HomeVida) is an annual film award platform driving creative messaging on integrity and value change through the FILMS. The best in Nollywood entertainment are rewarded for transparency, quality and integrity in films and film making.
The platform provides incentives for talented Nigerian filmmakers to mainstream integrity in their films and is designed as a partnership between non-profit, public and private organizations to promote core national and corporate values towards nation building. Partners include the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, Bureau of Public Procurement, Code of Conduct, Public and Private Development Centre, and Securities Exchange Commission.
The HomeVida platform calls for short film scripts, turn the finalists’ scripts into films, awards cash prizes to the winners and gives a N1Million cash prize to the winners in the feature film award category. Past HomeVida winners include box-office movies like “Ije”, “Inale”, “Tango With Me”, and “Adesuwa”; whilst the 2011 event played host to personalities like Genevieve Nnaji, M.I, and Paul Obazele.
This year, HomeVida is giving out 1 Million Naira each in 3 different categories. Below is a list of nominees:
1. Due Process Film Prize endowed by Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) Films nominated in this category:
• “Who Will Tell The President” Produced by Vitus Nnebue
• “A Date With Corruption” Produced by Ogosi Favour
2. Public Conduct Film Prize endowed by Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) Films nominated in this category:
• “True Citizens” Produced by Elvis Chucks
• “The Hero In Me” Produced by Uwakwe Egbo
3. Anti-Corruption Film Prize endowed by Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC): Films nominated in this category:
• “Yahoo Plus” Produced by Blessing Johnson
• “True Citizens” Produced by Elvis Chucks

There will be a Pre-Awards cocktail by 6pm on the same day, where the short films and finalists will be showcased.
