A New Script Needs a New Lens
As
new paradigms emerge in business and organizations all over the world, a
new thought-ware of organizing our lives and career is necessary to
match the changing themes. The management of our careers from the
continuum of landing our desired job to achieving a successful career is
becoming increasingly complex and demanding responsibility, careful
aforethought, initiative and course corrections where necessary.
As
the knowledge economy is now gaining momentum in the developing world,
the management our careers is a topical issue that must be discussed,
focused and guided and most especially with the baseline assumption that
we are the Chief Executive Officers of the Inc, YOU. As Peter Drucker said “…It’s
up to you to carve out your place in the work world and know when to
change course. And it’s up to you to keep yourself engaged and
productive during a work life that may span some 5o years.”
